Take a look at our fantastic season:
We start off with Bleacher Bums,
by Joe Mantegna and the Organic Theatre Company, a nine-inning
comedy directed by Joel Roster (August 16-October 14).
One afternoon in the bleachers of Wrigley Field during
a Cubs/Cards game may prove to be the turning point
in the lives of some lovable losers. (alternating with
"The Weir")
Alternating with Bleacher Bums is
The Weir, by Conor McPherson, directed by Kevin
T. Morales (August 30-October 27). Grab a pint and listen
to some ghost stories in an Irish pub. The lovely new
village resident has a chilling tale of her own! And
yes, we will be pouring Guinness for the run of this
show.
Our holiday show is Miracle on 34th
Street, adapted by Will Severin, Patricia Di Benedetto
Snyder, John Vrecke, from the novel by Valentine Davies
(November 15-December 29). A small girl's belief in
Santa and the magic of the holiday is at stake in a
climactic courtroom decision. Fun for the entire family.
In the Spring we open with Moonlight
& Magnolias, by Ron Hutchinson, directed by Kevin
T. Morales (February 7-March 23). David O. Selznick
shuts down production on his new epic, "Gone with the
Wind." The script doesn't work. He hires famed writer
Ben Hecht, pulls director Victor Fleming off "The Wizard
of Oz." Together, the three men labor over five days
to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint
for one of the most successful and beloved films of
all time.
And we will wrap the season up with a
fabulous musical revue, Baby, Be Mine, created
by Artistic Director Kevin T. Morales. This final show
in our season runs May 22 - June 28.
