e
are very excited by our 2007-08 season!
We started off with Bleacher
Bums, by Joe Mantegna and the Organic Theatre Company,
a nine-inning comedy directed by Joel Roster (August 16-October
14). Alternating with "The Weir."
The Weir,
by Conor McPherson, was directed by Kevin T. Morales (August
30-October 27). Listen to some ghost stories in an Irish pub.
The lovely new village resident had a chilling tale of her
own!
Our holiday show was Miracle
on 34th Street, adapted by Will Severin, Patricia
Di Benedetto Snyder, John Vrecke, from the novel by Valentine
Davies (November 15-December 29). A small girl's belief in
Santa and the magic of the holiday is at stake in a climactic
courtroom decision. Fun for the entire family.
February 7th we opened Moonlight
& Magnolias, by Ron Hutchinson, directed by Kevin
T. Morales (February 7-March 15). David O. Selznick shuts
down production on his new epic, "Gone with the Wind." The
script doesn't work. He hires famed writer Ben Hecht, pulls
director Victor Fleming off "The Wizard of Oz." Together,
the three men labor over five days to fashion a screenplay
that will become the blueprint for one of the most successful
and beloved films of all time.
And
we will wrap the season up with a fabulous musical review,
Baby, Be Mine,
created by Artistic Director Kevin T. Morales. This show runs
May 22 - June 28.
